Bećirović spoke out: What did the French parliamentarians confirm to him in the USA today?

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović met in Dayton with a delegation of the French Parliament at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which included Senator Ronan Le Gleut, Senator Rachid Temal, MP Christophe Plassard, and MP Éric Woerth.

The meeting was held as part of the activities of the international conference marking the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Bećirović informed his interlocutors in detail about the dangerous attacks on the constitutional order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the authorities of the RS entity.

He emphasized that the adoption of unconstitutional acts undermines the constitutional and legal system of the country and jeopardizes the functioning of the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He specifically warned about the threats made by the president of the RS entity to use armed force against members of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s security and judicial agencies, which represents a serious threat to peace and security.

Bećirović emphasized that these attacks are coordinated and long-planned, with the goal of weakening democratic institutions and threatening peace and stability throughout the Western Balkans region.

The French parliamentarians expressed concern over the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and condemned attempts to undermine its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

They confirmed that the Republic of France remains firmly committed to supporting peace, stability, and the Euro-Atlantic future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that parliamentary cooperation through the NATO framework will continue to be a strong tool for preserving shared values and security.

Bećirović highlighted the exceptional importance of the Republic of France as one of the key countries in the EU and NATO, as well as its principled support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its proactive approach to stabilizing the situation.
