Nikšić: The FBiH Government is operating at full capacity, fiscal stability is not threatened

The President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Nermin Nikšić, stated that despite the challenges, the coalition at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is functioning, and that the FBiH Government is operating at full capacity.

He made this statement following today’s meeting of the parties of the “Trojka” – SDP, People and Justice, Our Party – and the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH, held in Konjic.

“We had the opportunity to hear from members of the legislative bodies from both houses of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, who informed us that they are also fulfilling their obligations and are following the work of the FBiH Government,” said Nikšić.

He added that the coalition partners also agreed on the next steps to be taken and expressed his expectation that the proposed laws will resolve a number of outstanding issues.

“In line with our usual practice, in a month or two, we will sit down and summarize what we have accomplished following today’s meeting,” he said.

Nikšić emphasized that he is satisfied with how both the legislative and executive branches of government are functioning in the Federation of BiH and specifically highlighted the remarks made by Federal Finance Minister Toni Kraljević regarding the entity’s financial stability.

“All the challenges that were before us, as well as those we ultimately heard from Federal Finance Minister Toni Kraljević—regarding financial stability in the Federation following the adoption of a set of laws on minimum wage, support for the economy, and more—do not affect the fiscal stability of the Federation. The Federation is meeting its obligations regularly,” Nikšić concluded.
