A politician from Gacko “dared” to criticize Vučić and Dodik – and was immediately expelled from the party

Željko Tepavčević, president of the Municipal Board of DNS Gacko, stirred public attention after sharply attacking the president of SNSD and the RS entity, Milorad Dodik, as well as the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, calling them “villains” and demanding their arrest.

“Milorad Dodik, who called the brightest children of Serbia ‘scum’, not only must leave the political scene, but also be held accountable for that (not to mention the wealth he has accumulated). Aleksandar Vučić, who is at the top of the drug, prostitution, and crime clan, should serve a life sentence in prison alongside Milorad Dodik. There are still honourable Serbs who are standing up against the greatest villains of the Serbian people,” Tepavčević stated on social media.

After these statements echoed in the public, Tepavčević doubled down on his views, even more directly this time, tagging Vučić himself:

“Aleksandar Vučić, it’s time for you to go to prison. Ordinary citizens will no longer be slaves to your ‘mentally ill politics.’ You are mentally ill, and along with you, Milorad Dodik must also be cast onto the garbage heap of history and brought to justice. It won’t be long before that happens.”

Reactions quickly followed, given that DNS is a coalition partner of Dodik’s SNSD. The DNS promptly issued a statement, distancing themselves completely from Tepavčević’s remarks.

“Such outbursts are absolutely unacceptable for the Democratic People’s Alliance and must carry appropriate consequences. Tepavčević has not attended meetings of party bodies for months, which shows irresponsibility and neglect of the duties that come with the position he holds. Due to all of the above, at the next session of the DNS Presidency, a procedure will be initiated to expel him from the party, which will automatically remove him from the position of president of the DNS Municipal Board in Gacko,” the party stated.

Despite the sharp reactions and announced sanctions, Tepavčević has so far not publicly responded to his party’s statement.
