A convoy of 109 trucks was looted upon entering Gaza, with 98 trucks disappearing without a trace

A convoy of 109 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza was looted on November 16, confirmed by a UNRWA official. According to her, the attack resulted in the complete loss of 98 trucks.

Louise Wateridge, a senior emergency officer at UNRWA, stated to Reuters that the convoy, which was transporting food provided by UN agencies, including UNRWA and the World Food Program, has been instructed by Israeli authorities to take an unknown route from the Kerem Shalom crossing. This incident highlights the serious challenges faced in delivering aid to southern and central Gaza, regions severely affected by months of conflict.

Wateridge did not specify who was responsible for the attack on the convoy, and details about the perpetrators remain unknown. The attack on the humanitarian convoy further underscores the difficulties faced by international organizations in their efforts to deliver aid to those most in need in Gaza, as the region remains isolated due to escalation of the conflict.
