Vučić Urges “Sarajevo Judges” to Acquit Dodik: Everything Else Will Lead Us to…

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he hopes the judges in Sarajevo will issue an acquittal for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, as “any other verdict will lead to uncertainty.“

If the outcome is different, Vučić expressed concern that “we will all be in trouble“ and hoped that “there will be enough reason in Sarajevo.

Anything else leads us into uncertainty and, I hope, not into something we cannot prevent through wise actions. I don`t understand why this is happening – chasing someone for a verbal offense or a different political opinion. In the 21st century, that is neither appropriate nor normal,“ emphasized Vučić.

He considers that legal prosecution against Dodik to be a political adventure and irresponsibility, believing it to be very wrong. He hopes, he says, that there will be enough reason in Sarajevo, as the overall legal persecution of Milorad Dodik and acting Director of the “Official Gazette``, Miloš Lukić, is absolutely senseless.

He pointed out that his issue exists not only to prosecute Dodik and Lukić for completely unknown reasons but also to send a clear signal to Republika Srpska.

These are things that are completely unacceptable, but let`s wait and see how it all ends. I hope there will be enough reason. I would enthusiastically welcome an acquittal``, Vučić said.
